Snowdon Sunrise

Experience one of the UK’s most iconic mountains in a truly unforgettable way — reaching the summit of Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) as the sun rises over North Wales.

Starting in the early hours, this guided challenge takes you to the highest point in Wales (1,085m), rewarding your effort with breathtaking views as the landscape comes to life around you. It’s a unique and inspiring experience that combines challenge, atmosphere, and a real sense of achievement.

The Challenge

We begin in darkness, setting off by headtorch as we make our steady ascent along the Llanberis Path — a well-established route that offers a consistent and manageable climb to the summit.

As we gain height, the first light of day begins to appear, building anticipation as we approach the summit. Reaching the top in time for sunrise is a truly special moment — watching the sun break over the horizon, lighting up the mountains and valleys below.

Mountain conditions can be unpredictable, and while every effort is made to reach the summit for sunrise, all routes and timings are subject to weather conditions to ensure the safety of the group.

After taking in the views (and a well-earned rest), we begin our descent back to Llanberis, completing the challenge as the day fully unfolds.
